Council Meeting Postponement
Due to the outbreak of COVID-19 in China, the WFOT Executive, in consultation with the Hong Kong Occupational Therapy Association, has made the decision to postpone the WFOT Council Meeting in Hong Kong to 24-28 August 2020.Please find further information below:
Agenda
The agenda items already submitted will be included in the agenda (you do not need to resend them). The new deadline to receive agenda items is the 15th June and the Final Draft Agenda will be circulated on the 13th July. Reminders will be sent closer to the time.

Regional Group Reports
We would welcome reports from Regional Groups by the 15th June, if you have already submitted a report and would like to send us an updated version, please do so.

Awards
The deadline for nominations/applications for the Merit, Honorary Fellow and the WFOT Thelma Cardwell Award for Research has now passed.
Nominations
The deadline for nominations for the positions of President, Vice President Finance and Programme Coordinator Practice Development has now passed.
EMTM 2021
The expressions of interest to host the Executive Management Team Meeting in 2021 already submitted will still be considered. Any new expressions of interest should be completed online at this link https://wfot.link/callemtm2021 by the 9 March 2020.
Registrations
The Council Meeting Website will remain open for registration until the Council Meeting.
If you have already registered on the Council Meeting website but, given the new dates, you are no longer able to attend, please note that you do not need to take any further action. In May – June 2020 we will ask everyone who has registered to confirm their attendance, so if you can’t attend you will simply ignore that call. At that time, you will be able to book lunches, social events and professional visits.
Invitation Letters
An updated invitation letter will be emailed directly to all those that have already registered.
Proxies
Proxy requests already submitted / accepted will still be valid for the Council Meeting in August.
If you have submitted a request but no longer need the proxy, please let us know at [email protected].
Hotel Bookings
We have been advised by the hotel that all bookings made through the dedicated links on the Council Meeting website have been cancelled with no financial penalties (Crowne Plaza and Holiday Inn Express).
The Council Meeting website just has been updated so that new bookings can be made for August. Preferential rates are available between the 23 – 29 August and are refundable up until the 9 August.
If you have made a booking through another website or at another hotel, please contact them directly.
Air Tickets / Letter confirming postponement
We understand that some of you have already purchased a ticket to Hong Kong. A letter confirming postponement will be emailed directly to all those that have registered and is available to download here.
