Funding to attend Council Meeting 2020
Q: Does WFOT provide funding for Delegates to attend the Council Meeting?
A: WFOT Delegates and Alternates are generally funded to attend the Council Meeting by their Member Organisations. The Delegate may request financial assistance from WFOT to attend the meeting if unable to attend due to insufficient funds from their Member Organisation. Funding is awarded to the WFOT Member Organisation – only one application is expected per organisation.
Accommodation
Q: What are the accommodation options for the Council Meeting in Hong Kong?
A: WFOT has arranged for rooms to be available at the Crowne Plaza Hong Kong Kowloon East and Holiday Inn Express Hong Kong Kowloon East. Delegates are offered preferential WFOT rates only if accommodation is booked directly with either hotel. This rate is not available if booking through an accommodation booking service.

Visa
Q: Can WFOT assist Delegates to obtain a Visa to travel to Hong Kong?
A: To assist with visa applications and/or employer requirements such as leave applications/professional development requirements/etc, Delegates will receive by email the ‘WFOT Invitation to attend CM 2020’ following their online registration to attend CM 2020. Delegates are responsible for ensuring that they have the appropriate documentation and any other related requirements for Hong Kong. Payment to attend Council Meeting 2020
Q: How does a Delegate pay for attendance, lunches, and functions for the Council Meeting 2020?
A: All information is available on the Registration Portal. Payments can be made via the WFOT PayPal facility. Any alternative payment arrangements must be approved in advance by the WFOT Vice President Finance, at [email protected]
Attending as a Non-Participant Observer
Q: Can a member who is not a Delegate or Alternate attend the Council Meeting 2020?
A: Non-participant observers can apply to attend a full Council Meeting via the Registration page. Applications must be approved by WFOT. They will not participate in the discussion unless invited and are expected to pay the cost of their travel, meals and accommodation.
Delegates attending their first Council Meeting
Q: What support is provided to Delegates attending their first Council Meeting?
A: Comprehensive information is available for all Delegates. Mentoring is also available and a short introductory meeting between mentors and mentees will take place on the first day of Council. An Induction video is also available.
