Australia was the place to be for OT in July as occupational therapy professionals from around the world gathered at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre for the 14th Congress of the World Federation of Occupational Therapists, WFOT 2006.
The event delivered a mammoth week of seminars, workshops, forums, displays, social events, all designed to showcase the profession and practice of OT.
Themed ‘OTs in Action: Local and Global’, the Congress provided delegates with a unique opportunity to explore OT theory and practice, discuss the future of the profession, learn more about the role of occupational therapy in different communities, and connect with friends and colleagues from around the globe.
Whilst it is impossible to capture the buzz experienced by Congress delegates throughout the week, following is a glimpse of the many activities and events that were presented to delegates throughout the week.
As they say, however, you really had to be there!
